I thoroughly embraced Freehomepages.com, with sites on their domains Pagerealm, Dazzled (two there), and Homepagez. Freehomepages.com also owned the domains cybamall, powow, cybcity, haywired, homepages, koolpages, oddworldz, pcpages, cyberturf, and megaone. They offered 5mgs per account, and if you needed more, they would give it to you. They did have ads on the pages, but it was a reasonably good free hosting, using the same kind of cms as the old-style Angelfire. I ran a webring for people who had websites in pagerealm. But I don't know where any of the sites they hosted have gone to. I have only managed to find a few through the Web Archive. Unfortunately, no one archived all the sites before Freehomepages closed, as several people did for Geocities. It would have been fun to see what people managed to create, without the stultifying presence of so-called "social media".
