After Geocities, there was a rush to create new webspace providers. Dozens of them! I had sites in a lot of them of course. The ones I can stil remember were Go (run by Disney), The Third Age (for older folks), Angelfire (which was huge), Angelcities, Tripod (another large space provider), Draknet (for Pagans), Hostsk, Freewebspace (which had several domains to choose from), and many more. Women's news and magazine sites, such as iVillage, Women.com, and Gurlpages, also provided free webspace. I particularly liked iVillage. It had friendly, neighbourhood guides of it's own, and a community based around building one's webspace. They ran competitions with ideas for pages, and were generally fun to be a part of. They used the Lycos CMS, and eventually they melded into Tripod.

If I ever remember my other urls, I'll put them in here.
